Madison Garcia Is a PhD Student in the Department of Sociology. Her research interests are in education, race, class, gender, and inequality. At present, Madison is completing a qualitative study that investigates how college context (e.g predominantly white institution v. Hispanic-Serving Institution) in addition to race, class, and gender, shape how low income undergraduate students engage with faculty.
